DESCRIPTION

WEISS prepares, configures and delivers the LS One linear transfer system as a complete system for Plug and Produce. Alongside a robust frame and control cabinet, customer-specific mounting plates and workpiece carrier plates are included.

LS One is a direct-drive linear transfer system for assembly tasks with maximum precision and flexibility. Thanks to the linear motor module, the movements of each workpiece carrier can be programmed independently and freely The linear motor transfer system is flexible in configuration, pre-parameterized and easy to put into operation.

Precision in the process is still an important factor for high-quality end products. It must be guaranteed, even if processing times become shorter and process steps more complex.

PRECISION Fact 05 Cooling system

Beim Betrieb elektrischer Motoren entsteht Wärme. Diese kann zu thermischen Bewegungen in einer Stahlkonstruktion führen. Um dies zu vermeiden, sind in LS One an den Motormodulen und der Umlenkung Luftkühler standardmäßig integriert.

PRECISION Fact 06 LINEAR MOTORS

The linear motors from LS One are characterized by high speed and precision. Sensors and control of the workpiece carriers are directly integrated in the individual motor. (Motor section length with 660 mm and 1,320 mm).

PRECISION FACT 07 EXITS

WEISS has inserted exhaust air outlets above and below the motor position. This allows the air to circulate freely. In addition, the drive system is actively air-cooled. This enables LS One to achieve maximum performance in terms of acceleration, cycle times and load capacity.

PRECISION Fact 08 CENTRAL LUBRICATION

Central lubrication increases the service life of the guide concept by reducing the friction between the workpiece carrier rollers and the guide rail. At the same time, it reduces maintenance and servicing costs, as the lubrication system sends a signal when the lubricant level falls below the minimum level.

LS One achieves high performance values because every detail is systematically developed and optimally matched. This is how LS One makes the difference with a high repeatability of ±0.03 mm (x-/y-direction) paired with a speed of 4 m/s, acceleration of 30 m/s2 and a payload of up to 5 kg per workpiece carrier.

PRECISION Fact 02 V-SHAIN GUIDANCE

LS One guides the workpiece carriers on V-rails made of steel. At the same time, the workpiece carriers run on steel rollers. This “steel-on-steel” solution is robust and coordinated to minimize wear and deliver high precision over the entire service life.

PRECISION Fact 03 Two GUIDANCE SHIELDS

To support the precision, the workpiece carriers are additionally supported at the top and bottom on a flat guide based on a rolling element. This allows higher workpiece weights and machining forces.

PRECISION Fact 04 PRETENSIONING

The inner rollers of the workpiece carriers are constantly preloaded and run in an all-metal precision guide based on a rolling element. This constant pre-tensioning of the inner rollers along the entire transport path causes constant friction during movement. This increases the service life of the Linear Transfer System.
